Appropriate Attire for Paying Final Respects in Kenya

Wearing Black colour is long-standing  color that started particularly with the British nations .Since we were a Britain colony it was so easy to adopt to the customs. Also considering the fact we are a Christian nation and funeral etiquette dictates we should wear Dark colors.

funerals are usually a somber occasion and wearing black indicates that you are mourning  the loss of someone. It’s also a sign of respect for the deceased…

In other nations they have different customs.on India and China for example the colors of mourning is white .They wear white because it’s the color of purity.

In Ghana and South Africa ,wear red for funerals.you can also find countries that wear yellow such as mynmar ,and blue for lran ..

NB.Wearing Dark Grey or deep blue is just as appropriate as black ,while brown and lighter greys are suitable for the vast majority of funerals services .

However, unless specifically requested by the deceased or their family, you should avoid any bright colors such as yellows, oranges, pinks, and reds. For funeral attire in Kenya .

At hi style we stock in white and black outfits for burials ..On few occasions we have done red for clients special requests…

It’s always feels good to assist and walk the journey with the deceased family.Sad days but we make easy for the family during this time cause there is so much to do and so little time
